                                                  MARC CHAGAI: (1887-1985) THE CELESTIAL ARTIST.

Marc Chagal  is regarded solely as one of the most successful artists of the twentieth  century . He has made a unique career in different artistic languages, including painting, book illustration, stained glass, scenography, ceramics, tapestry and prints. Like stained glass art, he designed windows for Reims and Metz cathedrals   and the United Nations building  , and the windows of Jerusalem, Israel . The artist also devoted himself to murals and painted the ceiling  of the Paris Opera. Chagal  devoted himself to painting Angels and enchanted landscapes, and even today his art inspires and delights many people around the world. According to  Pablo Picasso , "when  Chagal   paints, you don't know if he's sleeping or awake. There must be an angel somewhere in his head. "A life devoted to art was not quite the career that parents wanted for  Chagal . Unable to understand that, they gave their son no financial help; he left home in the Russian countryside and went to St. Petersburg. As a Jew, he could not enter the city without a work visa and was forced to hide. But that did not stop him from studying the arts. even while living in St. Petersburg, he was inspired by a vision in which he saw an angel illuminated by a blue light, and hearing the rustle of moving wings, a shiver of excitement ran down his spine as the angel floated to the ceiling and faded. From that day, Chagal  tried to capture the dazzle of the experience and the shade of blue that had permeated the atmosphere of the vision. His reputation grew as the years passed, and by 1930 his work was in great demand. After his wife's death in 1944, he painted one of his most amazing paintings,  Blue Concert , with the face of his beloved wife and dear daughter combined with the Angel's vision. He produced until he died at 97. Each of his extraordinary works expresses the richness and depth of supernatural colors and a unique and unsurpassed excitement   STAINED GLASS OF MARC ANGELS    Chagai
